Why make sense?

Sometimes when I admire vintage items, they don't make sense. They might not be a whole item, or have all its pieces. Sometimes it's just a finial, a spindal, an old box, or a piece of a doll that captures my eye. But when its all put together somehow it just makes sense in it's little eclectic happy little world. I feel that with a few objects that do make sense, such as an old basket. or a beautiful jar, these objects that we admire can breathe new life, even when broken, become interesting once more. 

The eclectic focal points or statement pieces of our decor. For the next few blog posts, I want to focus on how to transform the broken, the missing, or the pieces of vintage into art, centerpieces, conversation pieces, or things that can have a second wind. Ways to display these things are unlimited. I would love to hear thoughts on how anyone else has breathed new life into their old finds!
