This beautiful hand lathed, hand painted 1940s wooden Easter egg is a true work of art and history. It was very well preserved in an attic, and may well be very much older than 1940s as it came over with a family that lived in a farm house from the 1800s to 1939 precisely. Back then they did not hire a moving truck and move their belongings, they just took what was most important and packed that and went on. Sold the farm and most of their items stayed with the farm. Their personal items stayed in the attic, this precious egg included until it would be found beneath the floor boards, perfectly intact, in the year 2021, in a tiny box of German treasures, right before the railroad would destroy the property this coming summer. (Tear). The family That has lived there since the 1940s, the school girl who became a teacher, and later raised children in that home, now in her 90s was relocated to another state with one of her children, now in their 70s. Many of the items you see in the coming weeks, especially the German ones will be coming from that very attic.

Why do your items have minor imperfections?
We sell authentic vintage and antique clothing that are actually found in attics and barns and are of the highest quality but can have minor imperfections. They are sold as is. They are very old, and will show normal signs of age, and wear. We try to photograph this for the customer as best as we can.
Sizing details
Why are your sizes not listed on all of your garments? Simply because some of the garments were custom made and do not have tags or are old enough that tags were not customary for that time period. We do not have a specific size, but will estimate the best we can. If there is an issue with size, we will happily accept a return within 14 days of purchase.
Care instructions
Each garment must be handled as the care tag states where applicable, and I would highly recommend when possible having a professional handle the cleaning and care or at least consulting a professional or researching the care before cleaning the garment on your own.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Vintage gift wrap can be available at additional cost at request to shop owner depending on the size, weight and dimensions of packaging.
Patches, holes, rips, minor spots, tears?
These are part of the character that add to the charm of these clothing. We never state that these clothing are free from any of these things. Some customers like the more the better when it comes to patches and character and some like their garments in mint condition. We try to list imperfections or conditions of our garments so the customer can decide for themselves. These garments are listed "AS IS" and are sold in their found condition. Many of our garments are in perfect mint condition as well. We do our very best to list ANY and ALL imperfections but from time to time we may miss something. These are authentic vintage and antique clothing. NOT reproductions.
